| REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS |
| Under the ISPS Code in force since July 1st 2004 the following should be implemented : |
| Every ship Management Company has to : |
| | | Appoint Company Security Officer |
| | | Arrange for the training of Company Security Officer |
| | | Implement Security Drills procedure and implement auditing, review etc. |
| Every ship manager has to arrange for the following for every vessel: |
| | | Institute documentation necessary for the Continuous Synopsis Record |
| | | Carry out ship security assessment by qualified personnel |
| | | Appoint Ship Security Officer |
| | | Arrange for the proper training of Ship Security Officer |
| | | Develop, submit and have the Ship Security Plan Approved by the Flag |
| | | Complete the ISPS code implementation cycle (training, drills, auditing) |
| | | Ensure ISPS / SOLAS equipment is in place (marking, Automatic Identification System, Ship Security Alarm) |
| | | Ensure Crew is appropriately trained and certification is maintained |
